I’m just gonna rant for a minute about irritated how I get, when I’m scrolling along through Insta and come across a Fashion Blogger who is wearing THE cutest outfit.
I fall in love with whatever top or pants they’re wearing, like the photo so I can get all the deets asap- (btw, the constant #liketoknowit tags are a bit annoying to me. Sometimes I just want to like the photo and not have a million emails sent to me), only to be heartbroken when I see that someone actually paid $350 for said top.
Anywho- I’ve managed to find some pretty good dupes of some items that are just the cutest and absolute must haves and am sharing with my fellow frugal babes to enjoy.
That’s kind of one of the reasons I started the blog- to share affordable fashion finds with the world. Not break hearts by rocking the best shirt ever only to tell you it’ll basically cost your rent money for the month.
*Side story- I just went on yet another shopping spree at Forever 21 and found the best off the shoulder striped sweater to wear with jean shorts and converses this Summer. I went on IG and saw a blogger wearing the same sweater. Knowing it probably wasn’t F21, I allowed myself to get spammed by the Like To Know It email, and saw she paid $200.
For a sweater.
The exact (ok, similar), one I had! And I paid $15.
Insane. I don’t get it.
148 New York Linen Pants vs. Elan Linen Pants: Ok, so I know these aren’t the same color, but honestly, as soon as I saw the “steal” I just had to add it to my list ( and perhaps my online shopping cart). And for only $39, these aren’t see-through and are just perfection. I’ll be pairing them with this adorable black crop top and some fun black sandals.
Show Me Your Mumu Palm Print Dress vs. Asos Palm Print: I have to be honest when I say that I’m not even a dress person, but these are both so cute, I could really add both to my closet and not feel guilty. You can rock both with white keds and a cute draped cardigan and you are good to go for Summer.
Farrah Trouser vs. Genetic Denim Flare Jeans: I have yet to actually find a good pair of flares, but after today, I may be adding a few pairs to my closet. They just make you feel sexy for some reason. You can wear them with crop tops, basic tank tops, vintage tees.. The sky is really the limit. And for $70, it’s a no-brainer.
Jen’s Ruffle Tube Top vs. Billabong Tube Top: Ever since my boob job, I have been anxiously awaiting Summer time and all the tube tops that I can now wear and not have to worry about pulling up every 5 seconds. It’s the little things that make me happy, LOL. But really, I have a cute maxi skirt with a side slit that is going to love the Billabong top.
What are some steals you’re loving?? If you want me to make this a regular series, let me know below and I’ll try to do it every few weeks!
Off to watch Game of Thrones (only on episode 2 of the first season), and drink some tea.
