Hopefully everyone had a successful or productive Monday. I worked all day, per usual, but definitely got a lot done when I came home.
It’s so weird how creative energy works for certain people. Some people are very creative and can write and write early in the morning, and other people are more creative late at night (cough* me *cough). Obviously it’s a little hard for me to more creative at night, but have to wake up at 7:30 every morning to work.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my day job and I love my passion even more, but sometimes coffee just isn’t enough in the morning, ya know?
If you’re more creative at a certain time of day, share so I’m not alone! I’m currently reading a book all about the best times to be creative and figuring out what that time is for you. I’ll do a full post for anyone who’s interested, just let me know below.
On another note, I know I’ve been slightly absent lately, but I’ve got a million ideas for the blog and I’m just trying to sort them all out and come up with a plan. I’m kind of going in a different direction, but the same direction, if that makes sense?
I promise to fill you all in once I get it all mapped out in my head.
Moving on, so this post is about rainy day must haves. It hasn’t been raining, but headed into Fall, I know we’ll be getting plenty of them and I wanted to share some absolute must haves to enjoy the gloomy days.
Facial Oil: Pampering is a no-brainer when you’re forced to stay inside. Read this post for why cleansing oils are my faveity-fave. Cleansing and then applying a mask, is one of my go-to’s when I need to relax and unwind. Which brings me to my next rainy day must have:
Charcoal Mask: Charcoal masks have amazing benefits. They help to pull the dirt out of your pores, making them less visible. Well, hello. I’ll take 9127309 jars. Mmmmk, thanks.
Candles: Candles, candles, candles. Everywhere. Especially when it’s dark and stormy out. Sometimes I wish I lived in the old days without electricity so I could just light a million candles all over the house and it would be acceptable.
A Good Book: I actually really love rainy days because I get a shit ton of reading done or blogging, or whatever because I’m not tempted to go outside and enjoy the sunshine.
Pj’s: I mean, duh. Nothing better than just lounging around all day with your messy bun and a RHOC marathon (wtf is up with Kelly, btw? That poor girl has got no censor). But just because you’re laying in the house, doesn’t mean you can’t look cute. I am all about the pink plaid pants with a cute off the shoulder sweatshirt.
Alright, off to drink some Fall wine (apple cider, cinnamon, white wine, and fresh apple slices), read, and curl up in bed.
