How was the weekend?
Arthur and I had a ton of shit to do- cleaning, laundry, oil changes, hair cuts, grocery shopping, workouts, organizing…
Not a very fun and relaxing weekend, but it was productive, so that’s a plus.
I just found out that I get to go back to San Diego for a work trip next month and I almost peed myself with excitement! Not really, but you get it (??).
I think my boss was tired of me complaining and whining every time he mentioned his trip, so he sought out a training class I could attend just so I can visit the beautiful city I grew up in.
Pretty amazing yes?
There’s a huge medical conference at the SD Convention Center the end of April that him and our 2 nurses are going to, and I get to attend a training on Social Media. Which I must say, I’m actually pretty amped about. With all the constant changing algorithms, and strategy involved when it comes to posting a pic or sharing a blog post, it’ll be nice to get a little insight.
Definitely mainly excited to see my sisters and niece and nephew though. It sucks living 3000 miles away from them, so I am making the most of my 5 day adventure.
Any recommendations on where to go to eat and drink?? We just snagged a hotel downtown, so a lot of exploring (day drinking even?), is on the agenda. And of course the beach, Mexican food, and In-N-Out.
So I’ve definitely started rambling, so let me get back to why I started this post.
The best beachy beauty finds everrrrrr.
I don’t think it’s ever too early to start adding color to your beauty bag, and it’s never too early to start prepping for that all natural, Summer glow look either, so I’m spilling on my must haves to achieve such a look.
+ SPF- This is kindddd of a no-brainer, so it’s #1. I am IN LOVE with Benefit’s sunscreen. It is so silky, smells delish, and doesn’t affect the way my makeup goes on. Sunscreen is crucial if you don’t want to look like Magda from There’s Something About Mary.
+ Sea Salt Spray– I am THE pickiest and actually gave up on sea salt spray after trying 638273 and hating them all. This one is made with coconut water, so it’s not sticky, leaves your soft, but textured (how is that even possible?), and it’s just my fave.
+ Vanilla Body Lotion- It’s organic, cruelty free, and the name is Tahitian Vanilla. Basically screams Summer Vibes. I wear this everyday and it kind of takes me away to a more tropical setting.
+ CC Cream- Foundation is only in my makeup bag from October-April. The rest of the time, CC cream is my jam. All about that natural look, and CC Cream is insanely light-weight, doesn’t clog pores, and gives you a dewy look.
+ Sunless Tanner- Sunless tanner is the way to go lately. No worry of skin cancer or sun damage, AND you get a nice even glow. This brand is organic and the mist helps create an even “tan”, with no smudges and streaks. Just make sure you exfoliate first.
+ Dry Brushing -There is nothing less sexy than dull, flaky, skin. Dry brushing daily helps exfoliate your skin and stimulate blood flow, giving your skin a nice glow.
What are your faves??
Off to finish my 2nd cup of coffee and watch Bar Rescue!
